The mass consumerism season is here

So I clicked on my local newspaper's website this morning and found that they have a 'special' home page today dedicated to shopping. That's right, not just a front page article about shopping, but a whole dedicated home page - the "real" news gets pushed back and requires following a link at the bottom of the shopping page to access. I really don't think any comment is necessary, it speaks for itself.

Bah Humbug.

ramblings

So I keep hearing stuff on the radio about 'TomKat'... I finally paid enough attention to realize that they're talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - I guess they're getting married soon. My only thought is: who the hell cares? Are there really people out there who are excited about this, other than friends and family? He's clearly insane, and a scientologist whack job too, and I just can't be bothered with caring either way. Congratulations, I think.

My wife watches a bit of TV, whereas I watch very little. When I do, it's usually something on the discovery channel, or maybe motorcycle racing. Never any prime time drama crap. Last night she was watching Grey's Anatomy and I saw the character Cristina (Google says her name is Sandra Oh) while I was walking by. My wife thinks she's pretty... I think she's just about as far from that as possible. Why does this matter? My wife thinks I'm attractive too... judging by her tastes, I'm thinking I'm one ugly guy.

stoopid

I was experimenting with adding pictures, to see how it looked with the template I picked. It looked OK, but I decided I didn't want to leave that particular image in place. Unfortunately, I'm too stupid to figure out how to delete the post entirely, so I had to fill the space with something.

About Me

I crack me up. Get it? I put the definition of the word "me" in the 'about me' section. Is it bad to laugh at my own jokes?

Not sure if I want to keep this thing anonymous or not at this point.

First Post

I really didn't want a blog. See, I wanted to comment on another blog I was reading, but I had to be a registered blogger to do so. So I created a blog and here I am. I think I'll go fiddle with settings now and see if I want to keep this thing around. Maybe rant a little...
